Our Story
Rory O’Driscoll
President
A San Francisco native and second-generation contractor, Rory O'Driscoll grew up in the family trade, absorbing more than 35 years of experience building and remodeling homes across the Bay Area. He started his own career on the tools, learning the craft from his father and gaining hands-on experience across a wide range of residential projects.
From there, Rory made a deliberate move into consulting, spending years as a construction consultant for BuildZoom and Block Renovation to deepen his understanding of the business side of construction and what homeowners truly need from their contractors. In that role, he helped homeowners and business owners evaluate contractors, level competing bids, and negotiate fair, transparent contracts. That experience gave him a clear view of where construction tends to go wrong, including hidden markups, vague scopes of work, surprise change orders, and timelines that quietly slip. It also showed him what separates great contractors from the rest: clear communication, honest pricing, and respect for the client's budget and time.
Today, Rory has returned to construction with his own firm, bringing all of that experience together. Decades of family craftsmanship, hands-on time in the field, and years spent advocating for homeowners combine to deliver a different kind of construction experience. One that is built well, priced fairly, and managed with the transparency clients deserve.
Paul O’Driscoll
Father & Consultant
Paul O'Driscoll taught Rory what it means to build well. Born in Ireland and rooted in San Francisco since 1985, Paul has spent decades building in the city, and today leads Paul O'Driscoll Construction, a firm known for craftsmanship, integrity, and a genuine commitment to doing right by clients.
Spanning more than three decades in business, Paul has delivered over 400 residential units across San Francisco, including the first residential midrise project in the Van Ness Corridor. He specializes in infill projects ranging from 10 to 30 units and has completed more than 100 high-end residential remodels. In 2005, his work on The Midtown was recognized with a Gold Nugget Award of Merit for Best Attached Housing Project (High Rise). As a board member of the Residential Builders Association and a former advisor to Pacific Gas & Electric on small residential infill projects, Paul has also helped shape the industry itself, while training and mentoring numerous young general contractors along the way.
Working alongside his father shaped the contractor Rory is today. Paul showed him that great construction isn't just about technical skill. It's about how you treat people, how you communicate, and how you stand behind your work long after the project is complete. Much of what Rory brings to his own clients comes directly from Paul's example, and he counts himself fortunate to have learned from one of the best.
